Why use Wilren Studio?
It’s a fair question. After two decades designing for global brands and some of the world's leading agencies, why am I choosing to work with small businesses, charities and local organisations?
The honest answer is that after twenty years working for global brands, I wanted to use those skills somewhere they could make a real difference.
I live in Faversham, a small market town - I grew up here. I shop locally, eat locally, and care about the businesses and organisations that make this community what it is.
I've watched brilliant small businesses struggle to compete online — not because their product or service isn't good enough, but because they've never had access to the kind of design thinking that bigger brands take for granted.
That gap shouldn't exist. There's no good reason why a local café, a community charity or an independent shop should be stuck with a website that undersells them, or a social media presence that doesn't reflect the quality of what they actually do.
The skills that make digital experiences work for global brands — understanding audiences, clarity of communication, visual quality — are exactly the same skills that can transform a small business or organisation’s online presence.
I've spent twenty years developing those skills at the highest level. Using them to help the places that need them most feels like exactly the right thing to do.
That's why Wilren Studio exists.
